A Nottingham City Council Report has revealed key statistics about Goose Fair 2023, revealing an estimated 512,676 people attended the annual event.
The attendance represents 6.9% fewer people than the 2022 event, likely due to bad weather.
Visits to the Forest Recreation Ground peaked on Saturday 30 September (the first of two weekends the event spans over) with over 72,000 people coming to the fair.
Other interesting stats from the report state that the event included:
- 89 juvenile rides
- 66 adult rides
- 98 games and activities
- 13 attractions
- 138 stalls and vendors
2023 is the second year in a row in which Goose Fair was open for 10 days. Those surveyed were asked whether they believe the event should continue at 10 days or reduce to 5. It found that 53.8% preferred the idea of a 10-day fair.
